Aerial pictures taken this morning (Saturday 3 October) show the devastation left behind after a fire tore through a derelict building in Burslem.
The images show the roof of the building on Newcastle Street largely destroyed, with charred timbers and the blackened, gutted interior open to the sky. A police vehicle remained at the scene this morning.
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service sent four fire engines to the fire yesterday afternoon (Friday 2 October), and Newcastle Street was closed between Blake Street and Woodbank Street while crews worked.
Staffordshire Police said three people, a 42-year-old woman and two men aged 38 and 42, were arrested on suspicion of arson offences.
