Motorcyclist Taken To Royal Stoke After Burslem Crash

A motorcyclist was taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital with potentially serious injuries after a collision involving a car and a motorbike in Burslem on Wednesday afternoon, according to West Midlands Ambulance Service.

The ambulance service said it sent two ambulances to Moorland Road, at the junction with Wade Street, just before 4.20pm on Wednesday 23 September.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision and sent two ambulances to the scene. On arrival, crews found a car and a motorbike had been involved in a collision. The motorcyclist, a man, was treated for potentially serious injuries and conveyed to Royal Stoke University Hospital."

Part of Moorland Road, which runs from the Smallthorne roundabouts into Burslem town centre, was closed following the collision.

The road had reopened by early on Thursday 24 September.

The motorcyclist has not been named. No statement from Staffordshire Police had been released at the time of writing.
