Shoppers were queuing outside Aldi in Newcastle-under-Lyme before the store opened this morning (Thursday 8 October) for the supermarket's wooden toy event.
By 7.30am, a line of customers with trolleys had formed outside the Blackfriars store, ahead of its 8am opening.
The store was packed as soon as the doors opened at 8am, with shoppers filling the aisles and trolleys piled high with wooden toys.

Aldi's wooden toy range of more than 50 toys, including several new products, went on sale in stores nationwide this morning while stocks last.
Prices start at £3.99 for small wooden vehicles and go up to £34.99 for the biggest items, a wooden dollhouse, a wooden vanity table and a children's learning tower.
New additions this year include a 2-in-1 market stall and cinema counter, a kebab takeaway food cart and a wooden drum kit, all priced at £29.99. There's also a wooden Aldi supermarket and wooden kitchens at the same price.
Aldi has put a strict limit of two per product per person on certain lines, to give every shopper a chance.

Some shoppers came armed with handwritten lists, with one including the Dino Train, a pirate ship, wooden cake and puzzles.
