In a statement, the fire service said: "Please be aware we currently have crews in attendance at an incident on Percy Road, Hanley, Stoke on Trent, where we are responding to a fire in a domestic dwelling."
Several fire engines were seen in Hanley tonight (Thursday 24 September), according to reports on social media.
The reports, which began at about 10.55pm, said the fire engines were near the old Argos.
