Residents Warned After Parcel Reportedly Found Ripped Open In Burslem

Residents in Burslem are being urged to keep an eye on their Evri deliveries following a report that a parcel was allegedly opened before being abandoned in the street.

A concerned resident has told Six Towns Daily that a parcel belonging to her son was found ripped open, with the contents apparently examined before it was left behind. The resident also claims there was no attempt made to deliver the parcel to their address.

A photograph of the allegedly damaged parcel has been provided to Six Towns Daily. The claims have not been independently confirmed, and it is not currently clear how or where the parcel was damaged.

With residents expecting deliveries, people are being encouraged to keep an eye on their tracking information and check doorbell or CCTV footage where available.

Anyone who finds a damaged or abandoned parcel is advised to photograph it before moving it and report concerns directly to Evri. If there is evidence or suspicion that contents have been stolen, residents should also consider reporting the matter to Staffordshire Police.
