A resident in Birches Head is urging neighbours to be vigilant after doorbell camera footage showed a masked person walking up to their front door late at night.
The clip was recorded at about 11.30pm on Saturday (26 September) at a home just off Birchlands Road.
It shows a person wearing a hooded top pulled up over their head and a dark face covering walking up the driveway. They look up towards the camera and appear to reach for the front door handle.
They then move over to a car parked on the driveway and stand by the driver's door. They then went back down the drive and got onto an electric scooter with a second person, who had been waiting outside the property, and the pair rode off.
A second person can be seen waiting on the pavement outside the property.
The resident said the pair left once they realised there was a camera on the front of the house, and urged others nearby to check that their doors and cars are locked.
Anyone who saw anything, or who has doorbell or dashcam footage from around Birchlands Road on Saturday night, is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101 or online. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
