Seven Men Jailed For Almost 130 Years Over Bentilee Petrol Bomb Attack

Seven men have been jailed for a combined total of almost 130 years over a petrol bomb attack on a house in Bentilee.

The men were sentenced at Loughborough Crown Court this afternoon (Friday, 25 September) by Judge Rupert Mayo.

They are Ali Abbas, Haris Mahmood, Shakil Uddin, Muhammad Sufyaan-Shah, Tayyeb Majeed, Riyadh Iqbal and Lukman Khan.

The attack happened at a house in Beverley Drive on 16 December 2021. Staffordshire Police said it was a revenge attack following a stabbing in the Normacot and Longton area earlier that day.

Petrol was poured at the property and set alight.

A 31-year-old woman suffered burns to around 65 per cent of her body, and a 13-year-old girl suffered burns to around 15 per cent of hers. Both escaped by jumping from an upstairs window.
