Residents in Tunstall have been warned to remain vigilant after a person was reportedly spotted outside a property during the early hours.
A local resident shared footage of the incident, claiming the individual appeared to be looking for something to steal from vehicles.
The resident said it would have been the third time their car had been targeted and has urged others in Tunstall and surrounding areas to take extra care and secure their vehicles.
Anyone who witnesses suspicious activity is advised to report it to Staffordshire Police.
