Inquest to open into death of Burslem bouncer Liam Smith

An inquest is due to open today following the death of 29-year-old Liam Smith, who was working as a bouncer at The Old Post Office in Burslem.

Liam was working at the venue on Wedgwood Street when he sadly passed away on the evening of Saturday 29 August.

Staffordshire Police have confirmed that his death is not being treated as suspicious.

The inquest into Liam's death is due to open at Swann House in Stoke from 9.30am today, Monday 21 September.

Further details surrounding the circumstances of his death may be heard as part of the proceedings.
