Flames Light Up The Night Sky As Four Vans Set Alight In Bentilee Arson Attack

Four vans were set alight in Bentilee late on Saturday night (26 September), sending flames and thick smoke high above the rooftops.

The fire broke out at around 11pm just off Ubberley Road.

Two fire engines are believed to have been sent to the scene. Crews put the fire out and had left by about 1am on Sunday.

The fire is being treated as arson and police are investigating.

Residents in a local community group said they could smell smoke across the estate. One resident reported hearing a loud bang near garages behind Ubberley Road.

Pictures taken by residents show a large blaze between houses, lighting up the night sky across the estate.
