We are following the local reports very closely over the next few hours as it is possible that first team manager Jon Brady may be sacked in the coming hours/days.

Port Vale manager Jon Brady is facing increasing pressure over his position following another defeat for the Valiants.

Vale were beaten 2-0 by Walsall on Saturday, leaving Brady’s side with more questions to answer following a difficult start to life back in League Two.

Brady was appointed as Port Vale manager in January 2026 on an initial 18-month contract, replacing Darren Moore. The club had previously backed Brady to make a difference both in the short and long term.

However, results have continued to put the manager under pressure. Earlier this month, following a 1-0 defeat at Salford City, reports described the pressure on Brady as mounting, with the manager acknowledging the frustration of supporters and saying he believed the team could turn things around.

Six Towns Daily understands there is growing speculation surrounding Brady’s future at Vale Park, but at the time of publishing there has been no official confirmation from Port Vale Football Club that he has been sacked.

If the club does make a decision regarding Brady’s position, Six Towns Daily will bring you the latest confirmed information.
