29-year-old man dies at Burslem pub as venue closes following emergency incident

A 29-year-old man has died following an incident at The Old Post Office in Burslem.

The pub, on Wedgwood Street, announced that it would be closing its doors for the evening following what it described as “unforeseen circumstances”.

In a statement shared on social media, The Old Post Office said police and ambulance crews attended the scene after the incident, sadly, the man could not be saved.

The Old Post Office is a well-known community pub in Burslem and regularly hosts live music and other events.
